Current Status of Slack
As of 10:27 a.m. ET, their status tracker indicated that users were encountering difficulties with accessing or using the app.
By around 1 p.m., Slack updated its users, stating that efforts were ongoing to restore vital functionalities, including message sending, workflow operations, threads, and various API features.
Key Details on the Outage
Slack communicated with CBS MoneyWatch, confirming that their teams were aware of the issue and were actively investigating the causes. They recommended that users monitor updates through status.slack.com.
At the height of the outage, over 3,000 users reported their inability to access the app, as noted by DownDetector. Some features, such as group and direct messaging along with emoji reactions, began to function again by mid-morning.
The exact reason behind the outage has not yet been determined.
