Smash is set to make its debut on Broadway, kicking off a digital lottery, in-person rush, and a special $30 under 30 ticket initiative starting Monday, March 10, 2025, in anticipation of its first performance on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Imperial Theatre.

Smash Lottery Tickets

Fans can purchase tickets through a digital lottery commencing at midnight (ET) the day before the performance, accessible via https://rush.telecharge.com. Drawings will take place at 10 AM and 3 PM. Notifications will be sent via email shortly after each drawing, with winners given a five-hour window to claim their tickets, priced at $49, with a limit of two tickets per winner.

Smash Rush Tickets

A limited supply of in-person rush tickets will be available starting at 10 AM on the day of the performance (12 PM on Sundays) at the Imperial Theatre. Each individual can buy a maximum of two tickets, available for $45 each.

$30 Under 30

Additionally, a limited number of tickets will be offered daily at 10 AM for patrons aged 30 and under, with an adjusted start time of 12 PM on Sundays commencing April 20, 2025. These tickets are priced at $30 each, and the buyer must meet the age requirement, though guests can be of any age. A valid ID will be required for verification.

Under the direction of acclaimed five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers), Smash boasts an impressive cast, including Tony nominee Robyn Hurder (Moulin Rouge) playing Ivy, Brooks Ashmanskas (The Prom) as Nigel, and Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening) in the role of Tracy, among others. The ensemble will also showcase emerging talents and experienced Broadway actors, adding depth to the production.

The show features music from Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who composed numerous songs for the original NBC series. They have crafted new songs specifically for the stage adaptation as well. The book has been penned by Broadway veterans Rick Elice and Bob Martin, further solidifying the creative team behind the project. Choreographer Joshua Bergasse, who worked on the television series, will also reprise his choreography for the live performance.

Notably, EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson has joined the producing team for Smash, having appeared as a guest star during the show’s second season, boosting the production’s visibility and appeal.

The creative team includes scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Ken Billington, and sound design by Brian Ronan, among other notable contributors to the production. The musical promises a compelling story filled with rich character arcs and entertaining musical numbers drawn from the show’s legacy.

As audiences anticipate the opening, they can look forward to a portrayal of the chaotic yet exhilarating efforts involved in bringing a Broadway production to life, specifically through the prism of its centerpiece musical, Bombshell, chronicling the iconic Marilyn Monroe.
