The highly anticipated world premiere of “Alfred Hitchcock Presents – The Musical,” under the direction of John Doyle, is set to take the stage at the Theatre Royal Bath from March 22 to April 12, 2025. This production promises to enthrall audiences with its unique blend of suspense and musicality.

The cast features a remarkable lineup of talent, including West End and Broadway luminaries such as Scarlett Strallen in the role of Mary, Sally Ann Triplett portraying Lottie Slocomb and Sadie Grimes, and Nicola Hughes as Eve and Arthur’s Mother. They are joined by Gary Milner as Detective Novak and Roman, Damian Humbley playing Courtney, and Alistair Brammer in the roles of Richard and Ray. The ensemble also includes Mark Meadows, Landi Oshinowo, Liam Tamne, Joaquin Pedro Valdes, Jade Oswald, Matthew Caputo, Ahmed Hamad, and Keanna Bloomfield, along with Georgia Mann, Ritesh Manugula, Choolwe Lain Muntanga, Matt Pettifor, and Jack Reitman.

This musical adaptation weaves together eight gripping tales of treachery, manipulation, and murder, painting a vivid picture of life in an ordinary American city rife with extraordinary incidents. As the narrative unfolds, audiences will encounter various characters including a murder witness, a fearful housewife, a cunning jazz singer, an escaped felon, and individuals teetering on the brink of sanity.

Drawing inspiration from the masterful imagination of Alfred Hitchcock, a monumental figure in cinema history recognized for masterpieces like “Psycho,” “Vertigo,” “North by Northwest,” “Rear Window,” and “The Birds,” the musical offers a fresh perspective on his legacy.

The innovative score is crafted by Steven Lutvak, a Tony Award winner for “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” complementing the witty and inventive book by Jay Dyer, known for his work on “Californication.” Together, they encapsulate the dark humor that is characteristic of Hitchcock’s storytelling.

This production not only pays homage to Hitchcock’s iconic style but also invites audiences to experience a unique theatrical adventure that is sure to captivate both fans of the legendary director and newcomers alike.
