Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha marked her first Karva Chauth with husband Zaheer Iqbal on Sunday, delighting her fans by sharing joyful and amusing moments from their celebration. The star, recognized for her role in the film Heeramandi, not only showcased her beautiful attire but also delivered a humorous video that captured the essence of the traditional fast.
In the Instagram video, Sonakshi dons a delicately embroidered light pink outfit, complemented by a traditional floral gajra adorning her hair. Zaheer, dressed in a mustard yellow top, sits next to her, momentarily distracted by his phone. The clip opens with Sonakshi playfully adjusting the gajra and affectionately calling Zaheer ‘Jaan.’ When Zaheer queries her actions with a playful “What are you doing yaar?”, Sonakshi humorously confesses, “I am very hungry. I don’t know what to do,” prompting laughter from both.
The playful banter continues as she inquires about Zaheer’s hunger status. When he admits to feeling “Very” hungry, she teasingly asks why, leading to an exchange filled with laughter. Zaheer cleverly remarks that his hunger stems from the same reason as hers, to which Sonakshi quips, “Why did you keep Karwa Chauth?” In a lighthearted response, he jokes that eating in front of her would not end well. Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged vows on June 23, 2024. Their relationship faced scrutiny due to religious differences; however, Sonakshi has remained resilient in her commitments, now celebrating their first Karva Chauth as a married couple.
