Sony Pictures Unveils New Spider-Man Title at CinemaCon

During their presentation at CinemaCon, Sony Pictures officially announced the title of Tom Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man film: “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton shared an engaging anecdote about his young son, whose first word was “Spider-Man.” This memorable moment occurred when the child pointed to a cover of the comic book titled “Spider-Man: Most Wanted.” Following this charming introduction, a video message featuring Tom Holland was presented, in which he revealed the film’s title while jokingly assuring fans that he was “well past the hump of spoilers.”

The storyline is expected to unfold between the next two major Avengers films: “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars.” In “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” Holland’s character, Peter Parker, will navigate a fresh chapter in his life following the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which saw the erasure of his identity from the collective memory of the universe.

This upcoming project aligns with Holland’s recent agreement with Sony, wherein his production company, Billy17, will be involved in creating multiple new films for the studio. One of the anticipated projects under this deal is a film titled “Burnt,” which will be written and directed by Rodney Rothman, known for his work on “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
