Sophie Choudry Recently Called Out Swiggy Following a Distressing Incident Involving a Delivery Rider
Actress and singer Sophie Choudry recently took to social media to discuss an alarming encounter she experienced while navigating the streets of Mumbai. She reported that a delivery rider from Swiggy collided with her vehicle and subsequently fled the scene without taking any responsibility.
Choudry openly expressed her dissatisfaction with the food delivery service on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing her frustration at the rider’s actions. In her post, she detailed the incident, which occurred in Khar West around 1:15 PM, asserting that the delivery person’s recklessness was entirely to blame.
In her message, she stated, “Hey @Swiggy @SwiggyCares, one of your riders has hit my car badly and run away at 1:15 PM right here on my road in Khar West. It’s completely his fault, and it’s absolutely disgusting that he just ran off!! I’m a regular Swiggy customer, but is this what your guys do on the road??!!”

In response to Choudry’s complaint, Swiggy acknowledged the occurrence and expressed regret over the situation, recognizing the distress it caused. They stressed the importance of safety and accountability, inviting her to share further information through direct messaging.
Choudry replied, reiterating that safety and accountability are paramount. She indicated that she had sent a direct message to the company and was awaiting their response, expecting a resolution.
As of now, Choudry has not released any updates regarding the resolution of the incident. However, her post has garnered significant support from the online community, with many users urging Swiggy to implement stricter measures regarding the behavior of delivery personnel. One commenter noted, “We understand that delivery partners face immense pressure—late deliveries can mean penalties or loss of earnings—but that doesn’t justify reckless behavior on the road. Please address this ASAP.” Another user echoed her experience, asking if there was evidence such as a photograph of the incident.
On the entertainment front, Sophie Choudry was most recently featured in “Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2,” where she made a brief appearance as a judge on a reality show. She also released a music track titled “Lips” last year, showcasing her talents both as a singer and performer.
