Actress Sreeleela is creating a buzz with her upcoming item song in the much-anticipated film, Pushpa 2. She is reportedly receiving Rs 2 crore for her performance, which is notably 60 percent less than the Rs 5 crore paid to Samantha Ruth Prabhu for her performance in the previous film, Pushpa: The Rise.

While Rs 2 crore is a significant sum, it falls short of the Rs 4 crore she earned for her role in Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, as noted by OneIndia.com.

Interestingly, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor was originally considered for the same song. However, her stated fee of Rs 5 crore was perceived as excessive by the production team, leading them to choose Sreeleela for the role.

Recently, a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Allu Arjun in his distinctive Pushpa attire alongside Sreeleela has captivated fans. In the image, Allu Arjun is seen in his signature orange getup, while Sreeleela stands out in a black blouse paired with a long, intricately designed skirt. This snapshot quickly gained traction online, heightening excitement for their upcoming collaboration.

Under the direction of Sukumar, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna returning as the female lead, alongside Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and others in pivotal roles. Mythri Movie Makers confirmed Sreeleela’s involvement in Pushpa 2 via social media, heralding her as “The Dancing Queen.” Her number, titled “Kissik,” is anticipated to be a standout track of the year, showcasing dynamic dance performances and infectious melodies.

On the financial front, Allu Arjun is reported to have secured an unprecedented Rs 300 crore for reprising his role in this sequel, while Rashmika Mandanna is believed to have earned Rs 10 crore. Fahadh Faasil, who portrays the antagonist, is said to have received Rs 8 crore, highlighting the substantial budget and high expectations that accompany this sequel.
