Recently, users of the Moto G64 in India have begun to receive the stable version of Android 15. This significant update, which is approximately 2.26GB in size, aims to enhance the device’s overall performance. Meanwhile, Motorola is preparing to unveil its latest clamshell smartphone model, expected to launch in April.

As Google prepares to release Android 16 during its upcoming Google IO event in a couple of months, many manufacturers are racing to update their devices to the latest stable version of Android 15. The Moto G64 in India is one of the latest additions to this growing list of upgraded devices.

Users have reported spotting the Android 15 update on their Moto G64 devices. A user on X (formerly Twitter), citing 91mobiles, shared a screenshot of the changelog revealing that the firmware version is V1TD35H.83-20-5. This update appears to be comprehensive due to its substantial file size.

According to the changelog, the Android 15 update is designed to enhance the Moto G64’s speed and security while introducing smoother graphics and improved app performance. Users will also have the opportunity to enjoy the new Hello UI, which replaces the previously used My UX skin from Android 14.

As noted by 91mobiles, the Moto G64 joins the ranks of other devices receiving the Android 15 update, including the Moto Edge 50 Neo, which began its rollout in January. The latest firmware also includes important security patches and various bug fixes. Since Motorola has just commenced the rollout process, users can anticipate receiving the update on their devices over the following weeks, likely in a phased manner.

In related developments, Motorola is also advancing its next foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Plus 2025, which has been spotted in leaks showcasing a new Rio Red color option. This clamshell device is expected to launch in April and may be marketed as the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra in select markets.

Recent leaks indicate that the upcoming Razr model will feature a unique Quick Button on one side and is anticipated to sport a 6.9-inch pOLED display with a 4-inch cover screen. The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which has already been seen in several flagship Android phones released this year.
