Stellantis has announced a pause in production at one of its assembly plants in Toluca, Mexico, a decision made public on April 4, 2025.
In a significant development, the automotive giant has decided to retract its financial outlook for the full year amid ongoing uncertainties stemming from the fluctuating trade policies of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The multinational company, known for its popular brands such as Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Chrysler, and Peugeot, reported net revenues of 35.8 billion euros (approximately $40.7 billion) for the first quarter. This figure marks a 14% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Stellantis attributed this downturn in revenue primarily to reduced shipment volumes, an unfavorable regional market mix, and price adjustments following previous spikes.
