Stone Temple Pilots Return to Rock Charts

With this release, Stone Temple Pilots secures its eighth entry on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, marking their return after over five years. Their last charted release was in February 2020 with Perdida, which debuted at No. 8 but quickly fell off the list after one week.

A Journey Through Three Decades of Chart Success

Stone Temple Pilots have had a noteworthy presence on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart for over 30 years. The band’s journey began in the fall of 1994 when their album Purple debuted on the chart. This iconic release peaked at No. 10 and remained on the chart for ten weeks.

Throughout their career, nearly all of their major albums have found a place on this chart. Notable highlights include Tiny Music… and their 2010 self-titled album, both of which reached No. 2, representing the closest the band has come to claiming the top spot.

Stone Temple Pilots Embrace Their Roots

Live in New Haven 1994 was exclusively released as a double LP for Record Store Day and was available only at physical retail stores. The recorded concert took place at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in August 1994, shortly after the release of their acclaimed album Purple. In a tribute to the band’s legacy and the significance of that era, the live album was pressed on purple vinyl.
