Currently, Statista has opened applications for companies aiming to register their details for consideration. To be eligible, a firm must primarily focus on creating innovative, technology-driven financial products and services.
This year, the initiative will take a closer look at notable companies operating in the U.K., recognized as Europe’s largest fintech market based on the total funding secured.
In the previous year, U.K.-based fintech startups attracted $3.6 billion in venture capital, placing them second globally and first in Europe in terms of funding, according to data from the industry organization Innovate Finance. Notably, the U.K. hosts Revolut, recognized as Europe’s largest fintech unicorn, boasting a valuation of $45 billion.
