Ananya Panday earns Filmfare OTT Award for Kho Gaye Hum Kahan; Suhana Khan proudly hails her achievement as “Best friend & best actress.”
Ananya Panday has been recognized with the Filmfare OTT Award for her commendable role in the Netflix project Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Among those celebrating her success was her close friend and fellow actress, Suhana Khan, who took to social media to express her admiration. Sharing a joyful image of Ananya with the prestigious Black Lady trophy, she referred to her as her “Best friend & best actress.” Ananya reciprocated by reposting the story with a heartfelt comment, “Bestie girl.”
The announcement of Ananya’s win was met with enthusiasm from her family and friends, including her mother Bhavana Pandey, rumored boyfriend Walker Blanco, and friend Navya Nanda, along with casting director Shanoo Sharma. Ananya also shared snapshots from the award ceremony, featuring a moment with the film’s director, Arjun Varain Singh. She received the accolade for Best Actress (Films) – Critics’ Choice due to her impactful performance alongside co-stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.
During her acceptance speech, Ananya conveyed her appreciation towards the entire cast and crew for their support and collaboration. The film, backed by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, premiered on Netflix India in December and has been well-received by critics.
On the professional front, Ananya is set to appear with prominent actors Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan in an upcoming project. Her previous work, CTRL, is currently available on Netflix. Simultaneously, Suhana Khan is preparing for a significant role alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan, in the eagerly awaited film King. This movie delves into the life of a morally ambiguous gangster and his interactions with a young protégé, portrayed by Suhana, opposite SRK in the lead role. The cast also includes Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist and Abhay Verma in a key role.
Filming for King is expected to begin in January, with Budapest selected as the filming location to match the film’s atmospheric requirements. Pre-production efforts are underway, including dialogue penned by Abbas Tyrewala, noted for his work on War 2, while the music score is being crafted by acclaimed composer Anirudh Ravichander, who has already initiated work on this exciting project.
