Notably, David Kinne took initiative to unify the more athletic members, forming a new alliance with Eva Erickson, Joe Hunter, Kyle Fraser, and Shauhin Davari. Their goal is to reshape the game narrative by ensuring that strong players are not merely used as shields but can collaborate strategically for victory. The newly formed alliance faced immediate pressure as Jeff Probst informed the group that they would be split into two teams for a challenge, leading to a double elimination at Tribal Council.

After the first Tribal Council where votes were cast individually, Mitch Guerra voiced his distress at being excluded from a key decision-making process. He felt left out when the majority plan targeted Charity Nelms, leading him to mistakenly vote against Sai. The primary reason for his exclusion, as explained by Shauhin and Joe, was the belief that Mitch had a close bond with Charity. However, once Mitch shared insights from his life, Joe began to reconsider Mitch’s perceived threat level, recognizing his likable nature as an asset.
Following the vote, Sai found herself acutely aware of her precarious position within the new merged tribe. With five votes against her, she recognized the need to align with the stronger players. In a bid for security, she approached Shauhin to discuss their respective positions and pledged to strengthen their partnership moving forward. As conversations unfolded with Cedrek and Mitch, Shauhin found himself at a strategic crossroads, potentially influencing the game’s direction.

The challenge this week tested contestants’ stamina as they were tasked with holding up their pre-game body weight in water. With immunity on the line, teams were formed: the orange team consisted of Star, Joe, Mitch, Chrissy, Eva, and Sai, while the purple team included Kyle, Shauhin, Cedrek, Mary, David, and Kamilla. This challenge was unique, as both teams faced the risk of voting off one member, with the first team to lose also forfeiting their voted-out player’s eligibility for the jury.
During the challenge, several contestants quickly dropped out, leaving the strength-based alliance, along with Mitch, as the final competitors. David and Kyle engaged in light-hearted banter about their endurance while Cedrek’s brief effort was humorously noted by Jeff. Ultimately, Joe won immunity for the orange team while David set a new challenge record, securing both a victory for his team and a spot on the jury.

Post-challenge, concerns arose among the losing team. Sai and Mitch realized they were likely targeted, given the solid voting bloc of Eva and Joe. Attempting to shift perceptions, Mitch proposed to Joe that he use his Block a Vote on Sai to build trust and deflect attention away from himself.
Meanwhile, on the winning team, Mary and David suggested to Shauhin that he could serve as a “smoke screen” vote against Cedrek. This presented Kyle and Kamilla with an opportunity to oust Shauhin, who had recently demonstrated untrustworthiness. To ensure David’s support for their plan, Kamilla fabricated a story suggesting Shauhin possessed an idol, creating a cover should they decide to blindside him.
At the first Tribal Council, debates ensued regarding the merits of loyalty versus strategic boldness. The resulting vote led to an emphatic decision, with Sai being eliminated in a 5-0 vote. “I think that they are obsessed with me,” Sai declared upon her exit, further emphasizing the dramatic personal dynamics at play.
The purple team’s Tribal Council highlighted strategic discussions around short-term versus long-term gameplay, showcasing Kamilla and Kyle’s influential positions. Shauhin advised against displaying panic during voting scenarios, recognizing the intricate psychological fabric of the game. Ultimately, Cedrek fell victim to the alliances in place, being voted out 5-1, aligning with Shauhin’s earlier expectations.
