Concerns Over Sharad Sankla’s Status on TMKOC Addressed
Fans of the beloved sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently expressed their worries after unverified reports suggested that Sharad Sankla, who plays the character Abdul, may be leaving the show. In response, the actor has firmly confirmed that he is still a part of the series and has no intentions of departing.
Sharad took to social media to clarify the situation, stating, “No, the news is absolutely untrue. I am not going anywhere and very much part of the show. Although my character may not be featured prominently right now, Abdul will return shortly as part of the storyline.” He emphasized the significance of his role, acknowledging the impact it has had on his career.
The actor further expressed his commitment to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, saying, “The production house Neela Telefilms has become like family to me. Our producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, is a college friend, and there’s no chance that I would leave the show. As long as the show is on air, I will be a part of it.”
Concerns about Sharad’s potential exit may stem from his character’s current absence from the Gokuldham society, which has become a topic of discussion as the show progresses through various story arcs.
Despite the ongoing uncertainties, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah remains a staple of Indian television, having entertained audiences for over 16 years. However, it has seen a number of cast changes in recent times, with actors such as Disha Vakani, Raj Anadkat, Shailesh Lodha, Gurucharan Singh, and Jennifer Mistry also exiting the show.
Most recently, Kush Shah, who portrayed Goli, announced his departure from the series. In a farewell video, he expressed gratitude for the love and support from fans and his fellow cast members throughout his journey, particularly thanking Asit Kumarr Modi for entrusting him with the role.
