Taco Bell Introduces Spicy New Menu Items

Taco Bell is spicing things up with the launch of its new Caliente Cantina Chicken menu, providing fans with exciting flavors beginning February 27. This fresh offering promises to enhance some of Taco Bell’s most popular items with a fiery twist.

The Caliente Cantina Chicken menu features five revamped dishes inspired by the original Cantina Chicken tacos and burritos that debuted in March 2024. These slow-roasted chicken options quickly gained a dedicated following, proving to be immensely popular and reportedly making up one out of every four Taco Bell orders last year.

This latest menu revamp introduces a spicy sauce made from red jalapeños, giving each item an extra kick. The lineup includes a crispy taco, soft taco, burrito, quesadilla, and a hearty bowl, all featuring this new Caliente sauce.

Menu Highlights

The Caliente Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco boasts a fried corn shell stuffed with chicken, shredded cheese, and the signature Caliente sauce. To amp up the flavor and texture, the taco is then generously coated in grilled cheese, making each bite even more delicious.

For those who prefer soft tortillas, the Caliente Cantina Chicken Soft Taco combines chicken with lettuce, purple cabbage, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and Caliente sauce, all wrapped in a soft tortilla. Meanwhile, the Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito features a hearty helping of slow-roasted chicken along with the same delicious ingredients found in the soft taco.

Cheese lovers will delight in the Caliente Cantina Chicken Quesadilla, filled with chicken, cheese, and Caliente sauce, all enveloped in tortillas grilled to perfection. The dish comes with guacamole and sour cream for a tasty dipping experience.

As the most substantial offering, the Caliente Cantina Chicken Bowl includes an array of components such as chicken, rice, and black beans, topped with lettuce, purple cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheddar cheese, and, of course, Caliente sauce.

To complement these fiery dishes, each option comes with a packet of Avocado Verde salsa, a vibrant mix of tomatillos, green chili peppers, and avocado. Furthermore, customers have the option to add extra Caliente sauce to any meal for an additional fee.

Future Additions

Taco Bell is not stopping here; on March 27, they plan to introduce Caliente Cantina Chicken Nacho Fries to the menu. These seasoned fries will be topped with chicken, nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, fiesta strips, sour cream, and, of course, the spicy Caliente sauce, adding yet another tantalizing choice.

For loyal customers, there’s good news: Taco Bell rewards members will have an early opportunity to try the new Caliente Cantina Chicken items on February 25 and 26 through the Taco Bell app before the official release.
