Writer and filmmaker Tahira Kashyap is currently enjoying the stunning landscapes and cultural richness of Japan. Her recent exploration of Kyoto has captivated her, particularly a memorable encounter at Nara Deer Park where she interacted with the deer. In a video that has gained considerable attention online, Tahira is seen sharing biscuits with the deer, one of which bows as a sign of gratitude. This heartwarming moment led her to reflect on the significance of kindness and the beauty of simple joys in life. In addition to the video, she posted images showcasing her traditional Japanese accommodations and the delectable cuisine she experienced during her travels.

On her Instagram, Kashyap shared her enthusiasm, stating, “Kyoto exemplified simple living at its finest. I stayed at a Ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn featuring tatami mats that transform into a cozy sleeping area at night. The bath was a refreshing bamboo hot tub, and the meals were beautifully simple and traditional. We also visited the stunning Inari temple, which required a memorable hike of approximately 16,000 steps through a pathway lined with thousands of iconic Torii gates.”

She continued, “I even found some Japanese hair accessories for my little one at a quaint shop in Senso-ji temple, along with a selection of rice cakes. Nara Deer Park was a delightful experience, with deer approaching us and bowing in appreciation for the biscuits we offered. There’s a valuable lesson in their behavior—a reminder to cultivate a thankful heart. My key takeaways from this journey are about compassion, cleanliness, mutual respect, and embracing calmness.”

Kashyap’s sharing resonated widely, garnering affection and praise from her followers and notable figures in the Bollywood community, including Twinkle Khanna, producer Guneet Monga, Krishika Lulla, and Tisca Chopra, among others.

Previously, she provided insights into her experiences in Tokyo, noting that despite the language barriers, the vibrant city offers plenty of excitement, particularly for families. She mentioned that every year she embarks on an adventure with her two children, and this time, she chose Japan as their destination.

Sharing helpful travel strategies, Tahira remarked, “One essential tip for traveling with kids is to equip them with their own small bags filled with their essentials. This promotes a sense of responsibility. I packed lip balm, toiletries, wipes, tissues, and snacks in each of their bags. Since we enjoy walking, comfortable sports shoes were a must. Senso-ji temple was lovely, with charming shops along the way. I also enjoyed a delicious sweet potato dish known as imokin and a custard-filled taiyaki, which, despite its fish shape, is vegetarian.”

Kashyap highlighted that fans of anime should not miss Akihabara, and she recommended Ichiran Ramen as a prime spot for savoring authentic ramen. Her children particularly enjoyed playing Hado in Odaiba. Their trip allowed them to experience a variety of seasonal delights, from cherry blossoms to sunshine and even snowfall. She also advised travelers to download Google Translate to facilitate smoother communication during their adventures.

Accompanying her on this journey are her children, son Virajveer and daughter Varushka, making this trip a memorable family experience.
