Teddy Swims Unveils New Album and Performances
The country music scene welcomes Teddy Swims with fervor as he releases his latest album and engages audiences with standout performances.
Teddy Swims made a notable appearance on The Tonight Show, where he showcased his new single, “Bad Dreams.” Dressed in an elegant white suit and accompanied by a live band and back-up singers, Swims delivered a stirring rendition of the soulful track, captivating the audience with his heartfelt performance.
“Bad Dreams” is part of his freshly launched album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2), which hits shelves today. The album features an impressive line-up of collaborations with artists such as Giveon, Muni Long, Coco Jones, and GloRilla. This release follows Swims’ earlier 2023 work, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). In conjunction with the album drop, he also released a music video for the song “Guilty,” which takes place in a glamorous bar setting.
Reflecting on his latest project, Swims noted, “This album is a continuation of Part 1. I’ve been evolving, growing, and healing in so many ways since the first one! On the last album, I felt as if it just left you with so much heartbreak and no resolve. Of course, there is still heartbreak on Part 2, but I believe we’ve given just a little more closure this time around!”
Last month, Swims collaborated with notable artists Quavo and Luke Bryan for “Georgia Ways,” a genre-blending anthem that pays homage to their shared roots in Georgia, celebrating how the state has influenced their musical journeys.
Currently, Swims is in the spotlight for being nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Grammy Awards. Upon receiving the nomination while in Barcelona for the Los 40 Music Awards, he expressed his joy by calling his father, who had been a driving force in his decision to abandon a career in cosmetology to pursue music. “I didn’t cry until he started crying,” Swims recounted. “It was such a beautiful moment to have shared that with him. The biggest win at the end of the day for me is my dad being like, ‘Son, look what you did, bud.’ I could cry talking about it now. I’m so proud and grateful.”
