Brookmere Hotel Opens in Historic Saratoga Springs
Saratoga Springs, known for its therapeutic mineral springs, has recently welcomed a new luxury retreat: the Brookmere Hotel. This boutique establishment, which takes over from the now-closed Longfellows Hotel and Restaurant that shut its doors in January 2023, occupies an expansive 10-acre property in the heart of Saratoga Springs.
The newly redesigned Brookmere Hotel features a myriad of amenities aimed at providing guests with a rejuvenating experience. Facilities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a comprehensive spa offering treatments and relaxation experiences, and an inviting restaurant and bar. The design work, carried out by Sims Patrick Studio based in Atlanta, has resulted in 88 beautifully appointed rooms. Options range from spa suites with private patios near the Arbor Spa, equipped with steam showers and infinity-edge bathtubs, to spacious loft suites and a corner presidential suite that boasts sweeping views, a wet bar, and a fireplace. All rooms are stocked with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries, plush robes and slippers, espresso machines, and modern smart TVs.
A Blend of Modernity and Tradition
The aesthetic of the Brookmere Hotel strikes a balance between contemporary luxury and historical reverence. The lobby features elegant design elements such as a marble fireplace and a striking chandelier, while subtle nods to the hotel’s origins as a dairy farm are interwoven throughout.
Julian Miller, the general manager, elaborated on this intriguing melding of new and old in a conversation with Travel + Leisure. “The original dairy barn, which is over a century old, has been preserved and incorporated into our newly expanded spaces,” he explained. Miller emphasized the hotel’s strategic location, just 1.5 miles from the Saratoga Race Course, close to Saratoga Lake, and adjacent to the Saratoga National Golf Course. This positioning is ideal for visitors seeking a peaceful getaway while remaining near vibrant attractions.
Wellness and Culinary Delights
The property hosts the Arbor Spa, accessible to both hotel guests and day visitors. This spa offers a variety of treatments within its four seasonal-themed treatment rooms, creating an ambiance enriched by natural materials. Collaborating with Saratoga Natural Body Care, the spa enhances the guest experience with locally sourced natural products. Offerings include massages, facials, and body wraps, alongside amenities such as a relaxation lounge and a gym.
The dining experience at the Regent Restaurant & Bar promises to be memorable, featuring a menu that showcases classic French cuisine. Guests can indulge in finely crafted dishes such as beef tartare, foie gras, steak frites, and cassoulet, with inventive twists like duck broth onion soup that adds a unique touch to the traditional fare.

To ensure a seamless experience, the Brookmere Hotel provides an on-site concierge service to assist guests with dining reservations and local activity recommendations in the Saratoga Springs area.
