The “Mysteries of Chaco Canyon Expedition” grants guests access to Chaco Canyon National Historical Park, often referred to as the “Machu Picchu of North America.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site holds immense significance for the Pueblo peoples. Participants can enjoy celestial-themed activities like stargazing on nights with a new moon, with the September event coinciding with the fall equinox, and partake in guided sunrise hikes highlighting the stunning New Mexican landscapes, including Fajada Butte and the San Juan Basin.
Alternatively, guests may choose the “Taos Perseid Meteor Shower Expedition.” This experience coincides with the annual Perseid meteor shower. After pitching camp at The Inn’s private base, participants will discover how to bake traditional horno bread, delve into the history of the UNESCO World Heritage site Taos Pueblo, and participate in guided outdoor adventures including paddling and horseback riding through the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument—all while observing the stunning meteor shower through expert-led stargazing sessions.
Regardless of the expedition chosen, participants can savor multi-course meals paired with local New Mexican wines, along with luxurious glamping accommodations that feature spacious tents, comfortable memory foam mattresses, and vibrant Southwestern textiles.
“These journeys invite travelers to not only witness the Southwest’s stunning landscapes but to connect with its timeless spirit in a way that transforms the mind and heart,” noted Angelisa Murray, CEO & Founder of Heritage Inspirations, a partner in these experiences. She expressed that these adventures create an “unforgettable tapestry of discovery.”
Through these immersive experiences, the Inn aims to deepen guests’ connections with the distinctive landscapes, culture, and rich history that New Mexico is renowned for.
“Astrotourism has become one of the most popular trends in travel for 2025,” remarked Kevin Geanides, managing director of the Inn of the Five Graces. He emphasized that learning about the region’s history and culture through celestial events in these iconic locations offers one of the most memorable experiences for visitors to the Southwest.
