In a recent incident, three teenagers were apprehended on Monday in connection with a carjacking that took place at a gas station in Winnipeg, according to local police reports.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene on St. Anne’s Road around 3:20 p.m., where they found that a 62-year-old man had exited his vehicle. Allegedly, three suspects entered the vehicle and struck him with the door as he attempted to intervene, subsequently fleeing the area.
Later that evening, at approximately 11 p.m., the Winnipeg police spotted the stolen vehicle, a 2017 Toyota Sequoia, in the St. Vital neighborhood. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of St. Mary’s Avenue and Coniston Street, resulting in the arrest of all three individuals inside the car. During the apprehension, authorities confiscated a folding knife from one of the suspects.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with multiple offenses, including robbery, possession of a weapon, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order, and he remains in custody. Meanwhile, another 17-year-old, who has been released under certain conditions, faces charges of robbery and evading a peace officer. The third suspect, aged 14, has been charged with possessing property obtained through crime and was released on an appearance notice, as confirmed by the police.
