Dylan Page, widely recognized on TikTok as “News Daddy,” experienced a bewildering moment recently when his popular account, boasting over 14 million followers, was suspended by the platform.
In recent years, Page has thrived on TikTok, establishing himself as a major player in the realm of news content sharing, attracting millions of followers with his engaging style.
His influence reached new heights in February when he garnered the most-liked comment across social media platforms, a humorous take related to GTA 6 that amassed over 10 million likes on platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, in addition to TikTok.
However, on March 28, fans noticed the unavailability of his account, prompting Page to announce the unfortunate news on his Instagram.
Dylan Page Banned on TikTok
Concerned followers alerted him to the missing account, leading Page to post a screenshot on Instagram, which revealed a message from TikTok stating, “Your account was permanently banned due to multiple violations of our Community Guidelines.”
Page expressed his shock in the post, stating, “Holy sh*t. I don’t have a single guidelines violation… I can’t even appeal the decision. I’m currently trying to reach out to someone who can help. If anyone knows someone at TikTok that can help, please DM. Will still post on here and YouTube for now.”
In the wake of his ban, many fans took to social media to voice their disbelief and discuss the sudden suspension of Page’s account.
Fortunately for Page, his account resurfaced just a few hours later. Although he retained his follower count, as of now, all of his video content remains inaccessible on the platform.
The timeline for the full restoration of his account and videos remains uncertain, leaving fans eager for the return of the content they enjoy.
This incident occurs amidst ongoing discussions about potential TikTok bans in the United States. A previous executive order by former President Donald Trump allowed the app to operate for a set period, which is set to expire on April 5, 2025, raising questions about the future of the platform in the country.
