As 2024 draws to a close, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the standout multiplayer games that have enriched our playing experiences this year.
The task of selecting the year’s top titles proves to be quite challenging, given the abundance of quality games available for cooperative play. Early in the year, we banded together to face monstrous foes in Helldivers 2, then ventured back to Earth to combat threats in Destiny 2. The year concludes in a similar vein with Space Marine 2, all while classics like World of Warcraft, League of Legends, and Diablo IV maintain their strong followings.
To construct this list, we gathered the entire Dexerto team for input, akin to assembling a team of gaming enthusiasts. Following this, our senior team deliberated extensively to finalize the selections. This process was vigorous but vital in showcasing a diverse representation of the year’s finest multiplayer experiences.
Our compilation includes a variety of genres to illustrate the larger trends within the gaming industry, mingling personal choices with invited new seasonal content. Disagreements are bound to arise, so feel free to voice your own favorites.
Note: This compilation aims to assist readers in identifying great gifts for the holiday season or seeking potential bargains during the Black Friday sales. We are also aware that some highly anticipated titles are expected to launch in December, such as Marvel Rivals, and we’ll keep an eye on any last-minute shifts in the gaming landscape.
