ST. LOUIS — A recent report has identified five suburbs in the St. Louis area as among the top 50 places to live across the United States.
The rankings were compiled by Niche, which evaluates various factors including educational quality, real estate conditions, demographic data from the U.S. Census, diversity, living expenses, and walkability. The assessment also incorporates community feedback to determine the most highly regarded suburbs.
St. Louis Suburbs in the Top 50 Rankings
Leading the St. Louis suburbs is Brentwood, celebrated for its strong educational institutions, family-friendly environment, and vibrant nightlife. However, the area received lower scores concerning crime rates and diversity.
Clayton also made the list, recognized for its lively nightlife and diverse culinary scene, which includes numerous restaurants and coffee shops, though it was rated lower for safety and housing options.
Ballwin and Richmond Heights also earned commendations, particularly for their superior public schools, housing quality, and suitability for families.
Chesterfield, positioned just after Brentwood in the rankings, is noted for its “dense suburban feel,” featuring an abundance of dining options, cafes, and green spaces.
Topping the overall list are Colonial Village in Virginia and Carmel in Indiana, followed closely by Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, and Uptown, Florida.
