With the biggest football event of the year approaching, it’s time to engage in the beloved tradition of crafting a snack stadium. This fun and creative endeavor can be just as satisfying as watching the game itself. Unlike the often frustrating task of building a gingerbread house, constructing a snack stadium provides a light-hearted, artistic way to enjoy Game Day treats. The concept is straightforward: design an arena using various containers filled with essential game day snacks such as Buffalo wings, sliders, chips, and dips, and then sit back to bask in the excitement of the match.
Last year, amidst my quest for tailgating recipes, I stumbled upon a Virginia Tech-themed cutting board designed like a football field in a discarded pile. It felt like a sign encouraging me to expand my collection of football-themed serving ware. This led me to search for “inflatable snack stadium,” a delightful concept that brought me to Sunny Anderson’s once-popular Infladium.
Initially launched in 2017, the Infladium represented a cutting-edge solution for organizing snacks in a sports-themed manner. This inflatable design featured various compartments surrounding a cardboard football field, showcasing the pinnacle of snack stadium innovation.
Although the Infladium was touted to make any Super Bowl gathering remarkable, it was discontinued in 2021. Nevertheless, the spirit of such a creative product lives on, with new options emerging each year. This season, I plan to create my own inflatable snack stadium using newly available products inspired by the original design.
