Tori Amos Launches Book Tour for Her Debut Children’s Book

Tori Amos is set to embark on a book tour featuring her first children’s book, Tori and the Muses. This special event will take place in five U.S. cities, where she will engage with young readers and share her creative vision.

The tour will kick off in March, with scheduled readings in New York, Baltimore, Naperville, Illinois, Corte Madera, California, and Los Angeles. The book is set to be released on March 4 through Penguin Workshop/Penguin Young Readers. Fans can purchase tickets for the events, which are available now.

According to the book’s description, Tori and the Muses tells the story of a young girl who harbors a remarkable secret: she is guided by eleven Muses who have influenced her artistic journey from an early age. Faced with the pressure of music recitals set by her father, the Muses help her discover that inspiration can be found in numerous forms. The tale encourages children to explore their creativity and seek inspiration in the things that ignite their passion.

Illustrated by Demelsa Haughton, the book draws from Amos’ own experiences as a child, emphasizing the significance of the muses in her life. In a recent video message, Amos expressed her intent to honor those influences and foster artistic exploration among readers. “The muses in my life have always been present, and I wanted this book to convey their importance in nurturing creativity,” she said.

Amos articulated her belief that everyone possesses their own unique sources of inspiration. “Some may feel they haven’t discovered their muses yet, but I encourage them to seek their individual sources of creativity,” she explained. “What I am most interested in is how each person derives inspiration, as it is inherently personal.”
