Tori Spelling Reveals a Fond Holiday Memory Involving John Corbett
Tori Spelling has shared a nostalgic story from her past that adds a charming touch to her holiday memories. During a recent episode of her podcast, Misspelling, the actress spoke about an unexpected kiss she exchanged with actor John Corbett, known for his role as Aidan Shaw on Sex and the City.
The incident reportedly took place at a Christmas gathering hosted by Spelling’s family. According to her, her father, the late Aaron Spelling, often invited rising talent to these festive occasions. “My dad would always court new talent that he was interested in for his shows,” she remarked, reminiscing about the gathering before Corbett’s rise to major fame.
Spelling described how she and Corbett hit it off at the event, recalling, “I remember having a kiss with him on Christmas Eve.” She noted that at the time, Corbett had already gained some recognition through his work on Northern Exposure, although her father ultimately chose not to cast him in any projects after Corbett accepted another role.
The kiss has been characterized by Spelling as a brief yet impactful moment: a “full” kiss but certainly not an extended one. This sweet remembrance took place as she was escorting him out of the party.
During her account, Spelling reflected on her dating life at that time, mentioning she was involved with Vincent Young but not fully committed. “I feel so foolish because I was kind of dating but not dating Noah,” she confided, revealing that despite their plans for a date, she didn’t follow through.
Following this revelation, further attention has turned to Spelling’s current life. Recently, she provided insights about her amicable relationship with her estranged husband, Dean McDermott, particularly after filing for divorce in March 2023. The couple’s date of separation is noted as June 17, 2023.
At an event, Spelling described their relationship post-separation: “We’re really amicable. I know in Hollywood people think divorces have to be ugly; ours are not. We co-parent really well, we’re good friends, and he’s one of my biggest supporters.”
Spelling also discussed the challenges and rewards of balancing a career with being a mother to five children. She conveyed a relatable sentiment, stating, “It’s not easy. But hey, we all do it. My kids are really supportive.”
