Burglaries at Homes of Chiefs Stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce
Recently, two prominent players from the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, experienced break-ins at their respective homes within a short span of just 48 hours.
According to police reports, Mahomes’ significant estate in Belton, Missouri was targeted around midnight on October 6. The response from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office came at 12:08 a.m. following a report of a burglary. Notably, authorities observed no signs of forced entry into the property.
The situation escalated less than two days later when Kelce’s home in Leawood, Kansas, was burglarized on the evening of October 7. The incident occurred while the Chiefs were engaged in a game against the New Orleans Saints. Law enforcement reported being alerted to the break-in at 1:36 a.m. the following morning. During their investigation, officials noted that a substantial amount, estimated at $20,000, was stolen and that a rear door had been forcibly opened.
TMZ was first to report the details surrounding these burglaries.
The Mahomes family, which includes his wife Brittany and their two young children, purchased their home in September 2020. They have transformed the eight-acre lot into what they describe as their “dream home.” In the summer of 2023, the family moved in, making this their permanent residence about 30 minutes from Kansas City.
The property boasts several amenities, including a custom-stamped 50-yard football field, a swimming pool with a swim-up bar, and even par-3 golf hole.
Kelce acquired his home in Leawood just over a year ago, and it’s clear that both players have invested significantly in their local roots in Kansas City.
Despite these unsettling events, Mahomes, Kelce, and their teammates continued their successful streak, winning both the game on October 7 and the next four contests, which propelled them to a commendable record of 9-0. Looking ahead, they are scheduled to face off against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in a rematch of last year’s AFC divisional round playoff, set for Sunday, November 17.
