Travis Scott, the acclaimed rapper known for his engaging performances, recently shared an unexpected encounter with an Oscar-winning actor that caught him off guard.
In a recent Complex feature, Scott recounted a surprising interaction with Adrien Brody during Paris Fashion Week. The famed actor expressed his admiration not only for Scott’s music but also revealed his hobby of music production.
“I was sitting next to him, thinking to myself, ‘I wonder if he knows who I am,’” Scott remarked. To his surprise, Brody immediately engaged him by saying, “Yo, bro, I f*** with your s***.” Scott recalled feeling utterly astonished by the exchange.

Brody, who recently received an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist, went on to share that he also creates music. “You know, I make beats and s***,” he told Scott. The rapper was intrigued and encouraged Brody to send him some of his tracks, expressing astonishment at the unexpected artistic connection.
Reflecting on their interaction, Scott described how it impacted him not only because he admires Brody’s film work but also due to this surprising alignment in their creative pursuits. “That movie is hard as f***,” Scott noted of The Brutalist. “I hope he wins Best Actor. That’s my dog.”
Brody’s venture into music isn’t a recent development. In a 2024 interview with the Los Angeles Times, he discussed how his passion for beatmaking began in the mid-1990s following his work on Angels in the Outfield.
He explained, “I hung out with some kids in The Bay in Oakland who were producing and rapping… I started producing tracks with these guys and learned how to do it and went back to LA, and this was before the internet.”
Meanwhile, Scott, who released his album Utopia, which topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2023, continues to merge the realms of hip-hop, art, and pop culture. This weekend, he is set to headline at Coachella, marking his first appearance as a lead performer at the prestigious festival alongside Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone.
