When challenged on what he wants from Putin, Trump stated, “I want him to stop shooting,” further requesting that the Russian leader finalize a peace agreement. “We have the confines of a deal, I believe, and I want him to sign it and be done with it,” he added.

During his interactions with the press, Trump suggested a two-week timeframe for achieving or advancing a peace accord. He has previously threatened to abandon negotiations if a prompt resolution isn’t found.
In response to a question about his trust in Putin, Trump replied, “I’ll let you know in about two weeks.” When pressed for details on what he expected within that period, he deflected, stating, “Two weeks or less,” while highlighting the severe losses being suffered—“We have 3,000 to 4,000 people dying each week.”
