Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari marks their first collaboration.
The duo play contrasting roles in Param Sundari.
Anticipation has been building among fans for a new romantic comedy starring Sidharth Malhotra since his previous successes in films like Student of The Year and Hasee Toh Phasee. The wait appears to be coming to an end, as Malhotra is set to join forces with Janhvi Kapoor in the upcoming film Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota, known for his work on Dasvi. In a recent interview, Malhotra confirmed his role and expressed enthusiasm about returning to the romantic comedy genre.
Discussing his partnership with Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth shared with The Times of India, “This Diwali feels like a fresh start as I embark on this new project. It’s thrilling to delve back into the romantic genre after some time, and I anticipate creating something enjoyable and memorable with Janhvi. This feels like a new chapter, perfect for a season of new beginnings.”
Speculation regarding the collaboration between Malhotra and Kapoor had emerged recently, initially suggesting they would work together on a thriller. However, reports from Midday indicate that the pair ultimately decided to pursue a romantic comedy instead.
Param Sundari is set to explore the classic theme of opposites attracting. Malhotra will portray a North Indian business tycoon from an affluent family in Delhi, while Kapoor will take on the role of a Keralite character. Despite their diverse backgrounds, the narrative will center around their romantic connection. Currently, the film is in pre-production, with plans to begin filming in December in Delhi.
In addition to Param Sundari, Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly in advanced discussions to join the cast of Race 4, which marks the return of Saif Ali Khan to the franchise. As noted by Pinkvilla, a source mentioned, “Discussions with Sidharth Malhotra have already started to bring him into the fold alongside Saif Ali Khan. Sidharth has a strong interest in the Race franchise and is eager to take on this role.”
On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, where she will star alongside Varun Dhawan. This project, helmed by Shashank Khaitan, features a commendable ensemble cast that includes Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi in significant roles.
