Ty Segall Launches New Project, Freckle, Ahead of Debut Album Release
Ty Segall, a prolific figure in the rock music scene, has made headlines yet again with his latest endeavor. This year alone, he has unveiled a double album titled Three Bells and an experimental all-instrumental record called Love Rudiments. Segall has also collaborated with Dale Crover of the Melvins and made an appearance on the reboot of Yo Gabba Gabba!. However, his creative journey doesn’t stop there; he has now formed a new band.
The fresh duo, named Freckle, sees Segall join forces with Corey Madden, the vocalist and guitarist from the Los Angeles-based band Color Green. Fans can anticipate the release of Freckle’s self-titled debut album early next year, although details about this project remain largely under wraps. The lead single, “Taraval,” introduces listeners to the duo’s sound—a laid-back acoustic folk-rock track that escalates into a vibrant psychedelic finale. You can listen to “Taraval” and view the tracklist for the upcoming album below.
