The United Football League (UFL) has announced a one-game suspension, without pay, for Michigan Panthers wide receiver Samson Nacua, following an incident involving a fan. This decision comes after a video surfaced over the weekend depicting Nacua slapping a St. Louis Battlehawks supporter post-game at The Dome at America’s Center.
Nacua will miss the upcoming game against the DC Defenders on May 4 as a consequence of this altercation.
In addition to the suspension, the UFL revealed that Nacua has agreed to engage in community service activities organized by the league.
The exact details surrounding the fan’s comments, which prompted Nacua’s reaction, remain unclear. The league indicated it would investigate the matter further upon the video’s release.

Teammate Adonis Alexander was present during the incident but appeared not to be involved. He was seen pointing at the fan after the slap, after which both players exited the field together.
Samson Nacua’s college career spanned both Utah and BYU, where his younger brother, Puka Nacua, also played. During his time at Utah, he recorded 82 receptions for 1,015 yards and 11 touchdowns over 45 games before transferring to BYU in 2021, where he added 21 catches for 329 yards and three touchdowns.
In his pursuit of an NFL career, Nacua had brief stints with the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints but was unable to secure a lasting position. He played for the Pittsburgh Maulers in the UFL before joining the Panthers in 2024.
This season, Nacua has made seven receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown.
