EA Sports has introduced a controversial new feature in FC 25 Ultimate Team that requires players to wait in a queue before accessing the game mode. This announcement has raised eyebrows among the gaming community, and here’s a comprehensive look at how this queue system functions and what it means for players.
Throughout its early launch, FC 25 Ultimate Team has encountered various technical issues. Notably, during the Ultimate Edition phase, fluctuations in Transfer Market pricing led to prices soaring drastically after EA finally updated ranges for cards that had previously gone extinct.
Moreover, players have reported frustrating lag issues within menus, which have impacted their ability to buy cards effectively or manage their clubs efficiently. Fortunately, there seems to be a straightforward solution for alleviating some of these lag problems. However, the introduction of a queue for Ultimate Team adds a new layer of frustration.
Understanding the Warming Up Screen in EA FC 25
If players encounter a screen labeled ‘Warming up’ when attempting to enter Ultimate Team, it indicates that they have been placed in a queue due to server congestion.
This queuing system is not unique to EA; many online games implement similar measures when their servers are overwhelmed. Players are generally informed of their position within the queue, and after a waiting period, they gain access to Ultimate Team.
However, it remains uncertain what the required position is within the queue for players to gain entry. Concerns are growing that the waiting times may increase significantly once the official release of FC 25 on September 27 occurs, especially given the current queue challenges faced by Ultimate Edition owners.
For players who prefer not to wait, there is an option to exit the queue. Nonetheless, many will find themselves with no choice but to endure the wait to gain entry. Currently, users have only reported experiencing queues for Ultimate Team, leaving it unclear whether similar queuing systems will be implemented for other modes like Clubs.
