ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist unfolds a poignant journey centering on a gifted Attuner named Lilac. In this enchanting world tainted by Homunculi madness, she is on a quest to restore balance using her exceptional powers.
Continuing the legacy of its predecessor, ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist offers multiple endings shaped by your decisions throughout the game. Should you find the conclusion unsatisfactory or wish to uncover alternative outcomes, this guide will help you navigate the paths to the various endings.
How to get all the endings in ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist
The game features two distinct endings. Players can restart from the last checkpoint or Respite after achieving one ending to pursue the other. While the bad ending is relatively straightforward to attain, unlocking the good ending requires a more thorough approach.
Here’s a guide to obtaining both endings in ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist:
Bad ending (Ending A)
Ending A, recognized as the bad ending, is the default outcome that occurs when playing through the game without acquiring a specific relic. Players need to confront and defeat the final boss, Gilroy, located in the Upper Stratum Administrative District. Success in this battle, particularly against his Armed Form, leads to this outcome.
In a pivotal moment, Nola, your initial Homunculi companion, sacrifices herself to cleanse the corruption tainting their world. The closing cutscene depicts Lilac alone against a vivid red backdrop, earning you the “Succession” achievement.
Good ending (Ending B)
To achieve the more favorable ending, players must engage with several Non-Player Characters (NPCs) to acquire a necessary relic. Begin your quest in the Land of Origin by locating Levy at the mid-level; here, you will receive the quest item called the Stele of the Land of Origin. Ensure you have the Grand Sorcerer’s key from earlier in the storyline.
Proceed to the lower levels of the Land of Origin, where a previously locked door should now be accessible. Defeat the Mad Knight Reiborg in this area and collect the Blighted Pupil quest item from him. Next, head to the Sorcerer’s Academy to meet Levy at the church before seeking him out again in the Crimson Forest. In this area, you will find him beside a white flower in the final room.
After discussing the Blight with Levy, progress to the next chamber on the right, where he will be waiting in the Land of Origin. Afterward, look for Lilia, who remains ensnared in Blight corruption. Visit the Central Stratum’s Central City, where Levy will appear on a bridge and exchange your quest items, including the Blighted Pupil and the Stele of the Land of Origin, for the Faintly-glowing Aegis Curio heirloom, capable of dispelling Blight effects.
Your next step is returning to Lilia in the Land of Origin to cure her of the Blight. Upon her recovery, she will grant you the Lilia’s Brighted Ring Relic, which empowers Nola significantly. Equip this relic and head towards the final confrontation.
With Lilia’s Brighted Ring Relic at your disposal, defeating Gilroy in his Absolute form will allow Nola to dismantle the Empyrean Parasol’s barrier. This act restores the Homunculi, gifting them human-like lifespans and culminating in a satisfying resolution for both her and Lilac, while also unlocking the “The End and the Beginning” secret achievement.
