Nothing Unveils CMF Phone 2 Pro Design Ahead of Launch

As the anticipation builds for the official unveiling of the CMF Phone 2 Pro on April 28, Nothing has provided a glimpse of the device’s design, showcasing its innovative features and aesthetic choices. This smartphone, part of the budget segment under the CMF by Nothing sub-brand, is poised to capture attention with its unique approach to styling, a refreshing contrast in the crowded mobile market.

Recently, Nothing revealed the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s design details through a video shared on social media platforms. Resembling its predecessor, the CMF Phone 1, the new model carries forward some familiar elements while introducing noteworthy enhancements that help differentiate it from its prior iteration.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro retains the striking orange back color that has become synonymous with the brand, paired with exposed screws that add an industrial touch. Notably, the design includes a rotating dial situated at the bottom, a feature that may signal the continuation of a popular replaceable back design that fans appreciated in the first generation.

Distinctly, the updated phone showcases separated camera rings as opposed to a unified camera island, enhancing its visual appeal. The device is equipped with three cameras, although it remains uncertain whether there will be a non-Pro variant with a simpler two-camera configuration. Additionally, the dual-tone back finish shines particularly well in the white color option, adding depth to its artistic design.

Another feature gaining attention is the presence of an extra button located on the device. This button, which is positioned alongside the large volume rocker on the right side and the power button on the left, is speculated to be the Essential Key. This feature may facilitate access to functionalities related to Essential Space, reminiscent of similar features seen in previous models like the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro.

Co-founder Akis Evangelidis hinted at a revelation of “two distinct design expressions” for the CMF Phone 2 Pro. While two color options have been confirmed, the second design will be unveiled on the launch day.

In addition to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, Nothing is expected to unveil new audio accessories, including the CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus during the upcoming launch event.
