Urvashi Rautela has garnered significant attention for her performance in the film Daaku Maharaaj, alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Reports indicate that the actress received an impressive payment, amounting to Rs 9.2 crore, for her role in the film, thereby surpassing Alia Bhatt’s reported compensation of Rs 9 crore for her work in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
The financial details surrounding Urvashi’s fee have sparked conversations in the film industry, with many noting the competitive nature of actress salaries, particularly in high-profile productions.
Recently, there were concerns among fans regarding the inclusion of Urvashi’s scenes in the Netflix release of Daaku Maharaaj, especially after she was absent from promotional materials. However, sources have confirmed that her scenes, including the musical number Dabidi Dabidi, remain intact in the streaming version.
Daaku Maharaaj presents Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role of an officer fighting against injustice, who eventually transforms into the fearless bandit of the title. The narrative explores his journey as he confronts a formidable family to bring justice to the people.
The film hit theaters during the Sankranti season, achieving a substantial box office collection of approximately Rs 104 crore in India. Key cast members include Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, and Pradeep Rawat, with direction by Bobby Kolli and music composed by Thaman. The cinematography was handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan, while editing was done by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane.
On the professional front, Urvashi Rautela is actively involved in multiple upcoming projects, including Indian 2 directed by Shankar, Kasoor 2 with Aftab Shivdasani, and a collaboration with Jassie Gill. Additionally, she will star alongside Akshay Kumar in Welcome 3 and will appear in Inspector Avinash 2 featuring Randeep Hooda. She is also set to feature in an international music video alongside Jason Derulo and will portray Parveen Babi in an anticipated biopic.
