JD Vance: Kamala Harris’ Campaign Struggles Amid Voter Engagement
Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance from Ohio recently addressed supporters in Georgia, discussing various political issues and criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris for alleged negative rhetoric towards constituents who support conservative policies.
During a rally in Atlanta, Vance took the opportunity to challenge Harris, suggesting that her campaign has been dismissive of voters’ concerns. “Here’s my message to Kamala Harris,” he stated to those gathered. “Engage with your fellow citizens constructively rather than labeling them. You might find more success in your outreach.”
He emphasized that voters should not be labeled as intolerant or incorrect for desiring educational environments where English is the primary language. Vance articulated that Americans have valid reasons for opposing issues like the influx of fentanyl and the demand for shorter wait times at hospitals, as well as the desire for enhanced security at the southern border.

Sen. JD Vance’s rally in Atlanta comes at a crucial time, as early voting statistics in Georgia have reached unprecedented levels, with reports indicating that the total vote count now exceeds more than half of what was reported in the 2020 elections.

Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer for Georgia’s secretary of state, highlighted this significant turnout on social media, countering claims of voter suppression made by opponents, including President Biden and activist Stacey Abrams. “So over 50% of the turnout for 2020 has already voted in Georgia,” Sterling remarked. “Registering and voting here is straightforward, and preventing cheating is taken seriously.”
As of this week, over 2.6 million early ballots have been cast, according to figures provided by Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. During the 2020 election, total participation was just shy of five million, with Biden winning the state by a marginal 11,779 votes.
Vance noted that Republicans in Georgia are increasingly embracing early voting, which he attributes to recent election reforms introduced in the state.
In 2021, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp enacted substantial changes to the state’s election laws following former President Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud—a contention he suggested had cost him the state’s electoral votes. Advocates for the reforms argued that new measures targeting absentee and mail-in voting, instituting stricter voter ID requirements, and banning non-poll workers from offering refreshments at polling sites were essential for maintaining the integrity of the voting process.
