On Republic Day, actor Varun Dhawan shared a poignant moment as he observed children proudly participating in the annual Republic Day parade. The actor seized the moment to tease his followers with a glimpse into his upcoming film, “Border 2.” On Sunday, Varun shared a video on his Instagram stories, capturing children waving the National Flag, showcasing their enthusiasm and patriotism.
In the background of the clip, the iconic song “Sandese Aate Hai” from the war film “Border” played, adding an emotional touch. Accompanying the video, Dhawan commented, “Border 2.” The footage features him recording while seated in a car, immersing himself in the celebratory atmosphere.
“Border 2,” directed by Anurag Singh, includes prominent actors Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Varun Dhawan among its cast. The narrative is believed to draw inspiration from the 1999 Kargil War, a significant conflict where Pakistani forces infiltrated the Line of Control (LoC) and captured parts of Indian territory, particularly in the Kargil region.
The action-packed thriller is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, with T-Series and JP Dutta’s J.P. Films collaborating for its release.
Recently, Varun commenced filming “Border 2” in Madhya Pradesh, with a striking image emerging from the set where he was seen with Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, proudly displaying the film’s clapboard.
On January 15, during Army Day, the ‘Bhediya’ actor honored India’s “real heroes” through a heartfelt Instagram post. This included two photos of him with soldiers, one featuring him posing alongside military personnel near a tank.
In his heartfelt tribute, he wrote, “Honoring the real heroes of India this #ArmyDay. Proud to be with them. #Border2 #prep.”
The film “Border 2” is set to be released in theaters on January 23, 2026.
