Vivo has recently expanded its X200 series with the addition of the X200s and X200 Ultra models. However, reports suggest that the company is not stopping there, as a new variant known as the X200 FE is in the works.
Instead of the anticipated X200 Pro mini, the X200 FE is expected to make its debut in India. Vivo appears to have opted for a name change and made adjustments to the specifications of the device.
Details on the vivo X200 FE
The emerging details indicate that the X200 FE will feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1216×2640 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, complemented by curved edges. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, which has yet to be officially unveiled. The device will also reportedly include a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens, along with a 50 MP front-facing camera. Additionally, it is expected to support 90W fast wired charging.
Unlike the previously rumored X200 Pro mini, the X200 FE will utilize a different system-on-chip. The Dimensity 9400e is anticipated to be a lower-tier variant of the 9400, following the trend seen with the 9400+ which offers enhanced capabilities. The X200 FE is also set to feature one less camera on the back, as it omits the ultrawide camera found in its Pro counterpart. Other specifications may differ as well, but further details on these aspects have not been disclosed yet.
The adjustments to the X200 FE’s specifications seem aimed at achieving a competitive pricing strategy in the Indian market. The anticipated launch is set for late June or early July, at which point more comprehensive information is likely to emerge, so interested consumers should stay tuned for updates.
