VTuber Camila recently announced that a man attempting to break into her residence has been arrested. Reports reveal that he confessed to placing a tracking device in a gift designated for her.
On November 2, 2024, during a live stream, Camila experienced a severe scare as an individual made an effort to force entry into her home. The alarming situation prompted her to abruptly terminate the stream, leaving her audience visibly concerned for her safety. Immediately after, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to reassure fans that she was unharmed.
In a subsequent update, Camila stressed the importance of vigilance among fellow VTubers, advising them to thoroughly inspect any gifts received at conventions. She disclosed that the gift in question had contained a tracking device.
Authorities confirmed the arrest of the suspect, who acknowledged that he had hidden a device within a present he had given to Camila prior to the incident. This revelation has raised serious concerns about personal safety and privacy within the online content creator community.
In a message shared on her social media, Camila mentioned that a family member, accompanied by an officer, would be heading to her home to collect her container of fan gifts. This precaution is aimed at ensuring that no additional tracking devices are present in her household.
After revealing these chilling developments, the VTuber community expressed an outpouring of support and horror at the situation. Fellow VTuber Captain Hannah remarked, “This is so so horrifying Camila holy f**k… I’m so glad you’re safe,” while another peer, Vienna, echoed her concern, stating, “I’m so sorry this happened to you Camila, that’s so insane and absolutely not ok.
