Week seventeen has seen a flurry of announcements in the smartphone sector. First up is the OnePlus 13T, characterized as a compact flagship. It features a 6.3-inch display paired with an impressive 6,260mAh battery, which translates to nearly 1 amp of power per inch of screen space. Beneath the surface, it hosts the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and boasts a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a wide-angle lens and a 2x zoom option. This model debuted in China with a starting price of CNY 3,399 (approximately $446), and sales are set to commence on April 30.
Next, we have the vivo X200 Ultra, which has also made its debut in China. Like the OnePlus model, it includes the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset but has a slightly smaller 6,000mAh battery. The camera setup is noteworthy as it replaces the 23mm 1-inch main camera with a 35mm 1/1.28-inch sensor. The upgraded 200MP zoom lens features a brighter f/2.3 aperture, while the ultrawide lens is a 14mm f/2.0 using the same substantial 50MP 1/1.28-inch imager. Vivo is also providing an optional teleconverter, allowing an additional 2.35x zoom for a total effective focal length of 200mm.
It appears that the vivo X200 Ultra will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, launching at a price of CNY 6,499 (about $900/€775).
Motorola has also made headlines with the release of the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro, along with the Razr 60 Ultra, known as Razr Ultra in the U.S. The Edge 60 series features a 6.7-inch 1220p p-OLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a versatile triple-camera system. The Razr 60 Ultra comes with an IP48 rating for water and dust resistance and packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite alongside a robust 4,700mAh battery.
Additionally, the Realme GT7 has been unveiled as a more affordable alternative to the GT7 Pro, featuring a Dimensity 9400+ processor and a colossal 7,200mAh battery. Its camera configuration includes a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 16MP front-facing camera, with a starting price of CNY 2,600, limited to the Chinese market.
