Judy Clain at Summit has secured worldwide rights to Jaded by Anne Meredith, represented by Sarah Burnes at the Gernert Company. Described as a blend of “Donna Tartt meets E.L. James on a 1980s college campus,” this debut novel explores the complex dynamics between two married professors who seduce a student each year—until a young woman named Jade disrupts their carefully curated lives. The anticipated release is set for early 2027.

Dan Gerstle at Norton has obtained global English, audio, and serial rights in a six-figure agreement for the debut work Chronicles of Ori: An African Epic by visual artist Harmonia Rosales. The deal was brokered by Christy Fletcher and Duvall Osteen from United Talent Agency. This innovative book is said to combine Rosales’s retelling of West African mythology, influenced by her Afro-Cuban heritage, with her original Renaissance-inspired artworks. The publication is planned for October 2025.

Jen Monroe at Berkley has acquired North American rights in a two-book contract for Kelly Yang’s transition to adult fiction with The Take, negotiated through Faye Bender at the Book Group. For the U.K. rights, Hannah Wann at Constable & Robinson partnered with Jenny Meyer of her agency. This story centers around two ambitious women—a twenty-something Asian American writer struggling to find her place and a 50-something white movie producer fighting to stay relevant. Their lives are forever changed by a secret age-reversal treatment. Scheduled for release in spring 2026, The Take promises a compelling narrative on ambition and identity.

Graywolf and Letras Latinas, the literary program at the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Latino Studies, are collaborating to create an anthology titled We Come from Everything: Poetry for the 21st Century. Coedited by poets Diannely Antigua and Laura Villareal, the anthology aims to feature works from 25 poets who have published no more than one full-length poetry book. The goal is to showcase a representative collection of contemporary Latinx voices. The release is anticipated in winter 2027.

Robert Davis at Tor has acquired North American rights to Richard Swan’s novel The Infinite State through Harry Illingworth at DHH Literary Agency, in a lucrative three-book arrangement. This science fiction tale, which the publisher likens to “The Expanse meets Red Rising,” revolves around the intertwining lives of a widowed politician, a disgraced investigator, and a pilot, all caught in a conspiracy against the oppressive Decurion Empire. The book’s publication is scheduled for August 2026.
