South Korean actor Hyun Bin made a memorable appearance on the game show *The Game Caterers* around two years ago, where he joined fellow cast members from his film *Confidential Assignment 2: International*, including Im Yoon-Ah, Yoo Hae-Jin, Daniel Henney, and Jin Seon-Kyu. The show featured a segment where the host, Na Young Suk, challenged the actors to identify celebrities from their photos in a rapid-fire format.
During this lively game, Hyun Bin was presented with a picture of BTS member Park Jimin. In a moment of unexpected hesitation, the actor struggled to recall the name of the renowned K-pop idol. The amusing situation evoked laughter from the audience and his co-stars, who playfully teased him about the blunder. Yoona, one of his co-stars, humorously asked, “Oppa, are you going to be okay?” as he sat, momentarily flummoxed.
It wasn’t long before Hyun Bin regained his composure and realized the photo was indeed of Jimin, but his delay left him visibly embarrassed. Seeking some reprieve from the situation, he jokingly requested the production team, “Can you blur my face?” In a light-hearted response, Na PD reassured him that when he played the game with Jimin, he would have the idol identify Hyun Bin’s picture, suggesting that they could call it even. Hyun Bin, however, playfully disagreed, sparking laughter from everyone present.
Interestingly, prior to Hyun Bin’s segment, the BTS members had also appeared on *The Game Caterers* in 2021. In their version of the game, Jimin faced his own challenge when he failed to recognize soccer star Son Heung-Min, leaving his bandmates in disbelief. The situation was later diffused by Jimin, who charmingly apologized to Son, while the other BTS members playfully ribbed him for the slip-up.
As for BTS, the group is currently on hiatus as each member, including RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, has enlisted for mandatory military service. Jin and J-Hope have completed their duties, while RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook have accomplished approximately 60% of their service, expected to be discharged by June of the coming year, with Suga slated to conclude his service by July 2025. In the meantime, Hyun Bin is preparing for the release of his upcoming spy thriller film *Harbin*.
