Post Malone’s evolution from SoundCloud rapper to a multifaceted country music icon has captivated fans worldwide. As for his current residence, while locations like Los Angeles or Texas might come to mind, he has opted for a more unconventional choice.
The artist now resides in a lavish apocalypse-proof mansion on a sprawling seven-acre estate near Salt Lake City, Utah. In a promotional YouTube video showcasing Cottonwood Heights, where his home is located, Post referred to the area as “the most amazing place ever.” Originally hailing from Syracuse, New York, and raised partially in Dallas, he made his way to Los Angeles in his late teens with his friend Jason Probst. As Post’s career skyrocketed after the release of his debut album, Stoney, in 2016, he sought tranquility away from the bustling city. “I kind of just wanted to get away to where I can have my own oasis,” he expressed on Zane Lowe’s podcast in 2022, reflecting on his search for peace.
San Fernando Valley Home
In the early part of the 2010s, Post and a group of friends formed a collective named BLCKVRD, sharing a rental home in the San Fernando Valley. This residence was pivotal for Post, as it was during this time that he created the influential track “White Iverson,” a song that played a significant role in launching his career on SoundCloud.
In 2018, after Post and his friends had vacated the property, it became the scene of a robbery when three men targeted the house, allegedly in search of the singer. Reports indicated that the new resident was assaulted during the incident, and valuables worth $20,000 were stolen.
Utah Bunker
During the time of the robbery, Post was likely already settling into his $3.1 million property in Utah, purchased earlier that year through an LLC called Wow Cool House. He had previously mentioned his aspirations to construct a bunker during an interview on the H3 Podcast, stating, “I’m just buying a place out in the sticks. I’m building it underground. It’s going to be fun until the world ends.” Further, in a Rolling Stone interview, he noted he was already situated in Cottonwood Heights, humorously indicating plans to include “like, 30 bunk beds” in his abode.
The main dwelling, originally constructed in 1986, extends over 13,000 square feet, featuring five bedrooms and seven bathrooms within a contemporary structure of stone, glass, and wood. The property boasts various amenities, including a living room with a bar, a wine cellar, a gym, and an office. Outdoors, a pool, jacuzzi, and tennis court offer ample relaxation options. Security is a priority, as evidenced by bulletproof glass throughout the property and a state-of-the-art security system.
Beverly Hills Rental
While his Utah residence serves as his primary home, Post Malone also temporarily rented a contemporarily designed mansion in Beverly Hills at the time of his purchase. Initially listed for $26 million in 2019, this modern estate showcased Post as its last known resident, although specifics on his rental agreement have not been disclosed. This impressive 11,200-square-foot mansion featured six bedrooms and an array of luxurious bathrooms. Located high in the hills, it provided stunning views of the city, complemented by chic design elements like dark wooden ceilings contrasted against bright tile floors. The estate included amenities such as a movie theater, gym, wine cellar, and a stunning infinity pool, offering a lavish setting for the artist’s lifestyle, alongside a serene firepit and outdoor entertainment area designed for relaxation.
