In the previous year’s showcase, Wholesome Direct featured over 30 games, showcasing updates on existing titles while introducing new projects. The term “wholesome” is open to interpretation, allowing event organizers Wholesome Games to curate a diverse selection. A notable example from the 2024 lineup is Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge, a delightful management simulation where players operate a wildlife sanctuary. This game exemplifies the showcase’s preference for endearing concepts, striking visuals, and engaging yet tranquil gameplay.

While Wholesome Games has not disclosed specific developers for this year’s event, it is likely that titles from its own publishing label, Wholesome Games Present, will be part of the showcase.
