Wiz Khalifa expresses belief in a flat Earth theory.
The acclaimed rapper Wiz Khalifa asserts that he believes humans inhabit a “massive flat plane” rather than a spherical Earth.
In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Budden Podcast’ available on Patreon, Khalifa rejected the conventional round Earth theory.
When asked about his views on the shape of the Earth, he replied with a firm “No,” explaining, “I just believe that we live on a flat plane, like a huge flat plane.”
He further elaborated, attributing his perspective to extensive travel experiences: “It’s only because I’ve travelled so much.”
Guest host Marc Lamont Hill challenged Khalifa’s assertion, inquiring whether he had ever visited the edge of the Earth. In response, Khalifa shared his thoughts on geographical formations, likening them to the ancient supercontinent Pangaea: “Nah, it’s not that. I think that there’s more masses than just what we see because it was one thing before and it spread out.”
He continued, “Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it’s not possible to go up and down. You’re just going straight. That’s the only reason I think that.”
The rapper also conveyed skepticism towards space exploration, stating, “I don’t believe in space exploration at all. I don’t believe that they explore space as much as they say that they do.”
Interestingly, despite his remarks, Khalifa’s newly released album, ‘Kush + Orange Juice 2’, prominently features an image of a round Earth on its cover.
This album serves as a sequel to his 2010 project, which Khalifa initially hesitated to revisit. He mentioned having reservations about following up on a previous success but decided to create a sequel to satisfy his fans and supporters.
“I just thought, ‘What would be the most satisfying for the fans and the people who support me? Should I start over and do something brand new, or re-create something that they already love and that they’re already used to?’” he reflected during an interview with Grammy.com.
Ultimately, Khalifa concluded that creating a follow-up was the right choice given his fanbase’s attachment to his earlier work.
