“Money on Money” is set to feature on Thugger’s forthcoming album, UY SCUTI, which is anticipated to drop on May 9. This release coincides with the three-year anniversary of Young Thug’s indictment along with 27 others on RICO charges.
Young Thug teased “Money on Money” on social media with a 10-second clip revealing the YSL logo engulfed in flames, posted to X on April 24.
Before this single’s release, Young Thug had a low profile throughout the early months of 2025, with his last notable appearance being on Lil Baby’s track “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” alongside Future.
Thug and Future share a long history of collaboration, both emerging from Atlanta’s vibrant rap scene. Their joint album, Super Slimey, launched in 2017, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts.
They have collaborated on several notable tracks, including “Relationship,” Gunna’s “Pushin P,” Drake’s hit “Way Too Sexy,” and “Sup Mate.”
Following over two years of incarceration, marking Georgia’s longest-running trial, Young Thug was released after entering a plea deal on Halloween. This agreement resulted in a 15-year probation sentence.
Earlier this month, Thug announced the details of UY SCUTI through a post on X, launching an official online store that offers vinyl records, CDs, and merchandise bundles.
Along with the store link, he wrote, “It’s Time. Red Planet.” According to Nine Planets, Uy Scuti is a red supergiant star found in the constellation Scutum.
