Yudhra Launches with Impressive Box Office Figures
Yudhra has made a strong impression at the domestic box office, earning nearly Rs 5 crore on its opening day, according to Sacnilk.com. The film, which debuted on September 20, is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Sudha Anukta.
Preliminary estimates indicate that the film netted Rs 4.50 crore within India. The Hindi screenings enjoyed a significant occupancy rate of 46.54% on Friday, aided by the promotion of National Cinema Day, which offered tickets at a discounted price of Rs 99. This action-packed film marks Siddhant Chaturvedi’s debut as the solo lead, alongside Malavika Mohanan as Nikhat and Raghav Juyal portraying the antagonist, Shafiq. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, Yudhra combines exhilarating action with engaging storytelling elements.
Reviewers are largely positive about the film, as evidenced by News18 Showsha’s three-star rating. Highlights from their review note, “The film excels in its action choreography, with fight scenes that are intense, rapid, and visually captivating. Yudhra stands out as a visual experience for fans of action, though it may not appeal to those seeking a robust plot. While the movie delivers in terms of thrilling sequences, it resorts to conventional storytelling, making for a somewhat predictable experience. However, it remains enjoyable for viewers drawn to high-energy action along with elements of romance.”
The on-screen chemistry between Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan has not gone unnoticed, particularly highlighted in the song “Saathiya,” which was released earlier this month. The video showcases the couple against a stunning ocean backdrop, emphasizing their romantic connection. In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Malavika shared insights into the challenges of filming intimate scenes, emphasizing the importance of comfort and boundaries during such moments.
She stated, “It’s not easy to crack intimacy and be comfortable with it. Nowadays, they have intimacy coordinators on set, which is a very good thing. It’s important to know boundaries. The process of intimacy isn’t as simple as just doing it. Coordinators are making it easier.”
