Following the recent noteworthy yet contentious rocket launch by Blue Origin, featuring an all-female crew that included Katy Perry, Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez, a new figure has emerged on the space travel scene: Zendaya. Though not an astronaut, her latest fashion campaign embodies the essence of space exploration through a stylish lens.
Zendaya’s Alien-Inspired Attire
In June, just after the release of her captivating film Challengers, Zendaya joined forces with Swiss brand On for a striking fashion campaign. This partnership flourished further on April 15 with a fresh endeavor that embraces a futuristic aesthetic.
Titled Zone Dreamers, the promotional visuals exude sci-fi elements, showcasing Zendaya and her team navigating the cosmos with impressive gravity-defying stunts. Instead of traditional bulky space uniforms, her attire leaned toward a chic athleisure style.
In the campaign, Zendaya sported the new Studio Knit Bodysuit ($150), available in various shades of green. With its sleek scoop neckline and sculpting design, this seamless piece was complemented by matching socks and the new Cloudzone ($140) sneakers, known for On’s signature CloudTec® cushioning. The choice of white sneakers contrasted beautifully with the green hues of the bodysuit.
A Nod to Space Fashion
In addition to her athleisure looks, Zendaya donned a unique and entirely transparent plastic spacesuit, custom-crafted by stylist Law Roach, layered over her bodysuit.
This isn’t the first time Zendaya has opted for a space-themed outfit; she previously garnered attention for a daring robosuit during the promotional tour for Dune: Part Two.
Transitioning to a more gym-friendly look, she was seen in a white crop top, accentuated with an asymmetrical cutout, paired with black, semi-loose tapered track pants. Completing her ensemble were the stylish Cloudtilt sneakers.
