Yellowstone Finale Scores Big

The popular Paramount Network series Yellowstone concluded with a sensational finale that captivated audiences. The December 15 episode attracted 13.1 million viewers within three days, marking it the most-watched episode in the show’s history across Paramount and CMT networks through simulcast. However, including showings on CBS and subsequent airings brings the total for the mid-season premiere even higher, at an impressive 16.4 million viewers. Such figures underscore the show’s phenomenon status throughout its run.

In addition to the main series, Yellowstone has inspired two prequel spinoffs: 1883, led by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and 1923, featuring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Both series delve into the legacy of the Dutton family. A second season of 1923 is set to premiere on February 23, 2025. The creative force behind Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, has also launched a range of other shows for Paramount, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and the latest addition, Landman, starring Golden Globe nominee Billy Bob Thornton.

Mariah Carey Celebrates Record-Breaking Success with “All I Want for Christmas Is You”

Mariah Carey continues to make history with her festive hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has now spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart as of December 28. When taking into account its chart performance over past holiday seasons, the song has accumulated 17 weeks at the top, surpassing her previous record-holder, “One Sweet Day,” a collaboration with Boyz II Men that held the title for 16 weeks. This impressive feat makes it the third longest-running No. 1 single of all time, trailing only Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” both of which stayed at the top for 19 weeks.

Over her career, Carey has amassed 19 No. 1 hits, just one shy of matching The Beatles’ all-time record of 20. Notably, she holds the record for the most cumulative weeks at No. 1 with a remarkable total of 96 and continues to extend this achievement each holiday season.

Gunn and fellow co-chair Peter Safran have significantly influenced the DC landscape since taking on their roles in 2022, with Gunn also working on the upcoming Superman film set for 2025.

Expressing excitement about the renewal, Gunn and Safran stated, “We’re thrilled to team up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem. From our spectacular first season of Peacemaker to the astonishing run of The Penguin to the record-breaking launch of Creature Commandos, Max has consistently surpassed industry expectations and we are proud to call Max home.”
